Just the best ski photos.

The “standing-there” group photos at the top of the mountain were great and everything, but criss-crossing the poles up in the air tips up take it to a whole new level!

100% would recommend - long term review

I’ll admit it—I was skeptical about dropping $300 on ski poles. Poles have always been an afterthought, right? Just something that does its job but doesn’t spark joy. Bambooz claims they’re “Redesigned from Grip to Tip,” but did ski poles really need a redesign?

Fast forward 80 days on snow, and here’s my long-term review:

These things are TOUGH.
I’m a big guy, and I destroy ski poles—bent aluminum, snapped carbon, you name it. But my Bambooz? Still standing after a full season of crashes, parking lot drops, and general abuse. Turns out, bamboo has just the right amount of flex to take a hit without breaking or bending.

The leather straps converted me.
I hate pole straps. They always suck—floppy, tangled messes. But Bambooz’s leather straps actually work. They fit snugly, lie flat, and even mold to your gloves over time. Never thought I’d be a “leather guy,” but here we are.

The grips are chef’s kiss.
Not just cork—there’s some rubber magic mixed in that makes them extra tacky. Even with gloves on, they feel locked in. Plus, those finger grooves? Dialed.

Copper on a ski pole? Yes, please.
Never thought I’d care about ski pole aesthetics, but the copper accents are straight-up sexy. Over the season, they’ve developed a killer patina, and on super cold days, they shimmer in crazy rainbow colors.

The flasks? Cool, but not the main event.
Yeah, they work. Yeah, my buddies love ‘em on the lift. But honestly? The rest of the ski pole is so good that the flasks feel like an afterthought.

Now, the downsides…
They’re pricey. But so is skiing. You’re probably rocking $150 footbeds you don’t really need. At least these make skiing more fun. Plus, they’re handmade in the USA—you’re paying for craftsmanship. Do you need the Porsche? No. But it’s way more fun to drive.
They felt heavier—until I did the math. Weighed them against my old Scott aluminums: only 4oz difference. And because all the weight is in the grip, the swing weight is still perfect. Physics nerds, back me up here.
They’re too nice. People won’t stop asking about them. And I don’t dare leave them outside the lodge with my skis.
Final verdict?
Ski poles are functional. But they’re also the one thing you’re always holding. Why not make that interface better? Bambooz didn’t just make a pole that works—they made one that’s fun, beautiful, and built to last.

100% would recommend.

Dave,
We are stoked that you've getting 80 days on the snow and that the Bambooz are exceeding your expectations. Thanks for supporting a small ski industry business.

Coolest gear on the lift

I can't believe how cool these poles are. Everyone appreciates the built in flasks...and I'm the most popular guy on the ski lift. But the build quality on these is incredible. They are well-balanced, I can tell they are wicked strong too. My wife ordered the wrong size, and Doug just sent a new set. Awesome to see handmade, bespoke gear on the mountain. Can't say enough about my Bambooz

Ben,
Always stoked to hear from our customers. Glad our team get the right size dialed in.
