Bambooz: Built for the Mountains, Rooted in Ski Culture

We’re obsessed with skiing—the freedom, the community, the après stories that get better with every round. In 2024, we took that obsession and turned it into something tangible: the coolest ski poles on the planet.

Bambooz was born in Hood River, Oregon, where we design, test, and build every pair of poles in the shadow of Mt. Hood. We’re all about local craftsmanship, eco-conscious materials, and making ski poles as strong as they are stylish—because gear should never be boring.

Founder Doug Beardsley—a science teacher, mountain guide, and mountain bike coach—had his own mid-pandemic epiphany. Growing up glued to Glen Plake in Blizzard of Aahhh’s, he fell in love with the wild, rebellious spirit of skiing. But one thing always stood out: ski poles were lame. So, we changed that.

Bambooz poles are built for those who send it—whether you're dropping cliffs, carving groomers, or just vibing in the lift line. Tough enough for the diehards, stylish enough for the après crowd.
